Repeat Prescription Ordering
Important Notice
NHS North Kirklees Clinical Commissioning Group have asked Practices in North Kirklees to accept repeat prescription requests directly from patients only. This is in order to save wastage of medication which nationally costs the NHS Millions of Pounds.
You will no longer be able to order your prescriptions with your local pharmacy and will need to change the way in which you do this to one of the options below.
- Online service - This service is available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. To make use of this service, please register at reception. You will need to provide photographic proof of ID. When registered or if you are already registered for online prescriptions please click on the link at the top of this page. If you also nominate with your pharmacy, your prescriptions can be sent to them electronically and you will be able to collect your prescription from them.
- Reception at the surgery - To order a repeat prescription it is helpful, safer and will avoid mistakes if you use the order slip attached to each prescription. To use the slip, tick each item that you require before sending it to the surgery. Please try to order your complete requirements in one go. The completed slip can be put into the relevant post-box at surgery.
- Post-box at the surgery - Our post-boxes are located inside and outside the front door of the surgery. The outside post-box can be used to post your prescription slip when we are closed.
- By Post - Prescription requests can be posted to the surgery. If a Stamped Addressed Envelope is enclosed the prescription will be posted back to you.
Please note that we do not accept repeat prescriptions requests by telephone.
Please allow a minimum of 3 working days for your repeat prescription request to be processed.
It is your responsibility to make the Pharmacy aware of any prescriptions you want them to collect.
Medication Reviews
Patients on repeat medication will be asked to see a doctor, nurse practitioner or practice nurse and you may be contacted once a year to review these regular medications.
